Here’s my most loved toys!

1. The Melodica. £22.90 EBAY
This is brilliant. You don’t have to worry about it running out of batteries because it doesn’t have them! The sound is made by blowing down the tube into the keyboard. You press the keys and it makes the sound. The velocity depends on how hard or soft you blow. It even has a little air hole button to push down repeatedly to create a tremolo.

2. The Xylophone £15 TOYS ‘R US
It really is pretty! I was really chuffed with the sound when it arrived in the post. The only problem with this is there are no black notes. But hey! It’s Toy Pop, I don’t want too many of them!

3. Toy Piano £55 AMAZON
My mum’s getting me this for my 21st! So I can’t say much about it yet. I’ve been using samples on Logic Pro 9 for this sound. Hopefully not for much longer! I use it in every song I write, it’s such a different sound.

4. Mini Flying V Guitar £180 (a shop in Cardiff)
Okay, I got ripped off with this. But you know when you see something and you fall in love with it and you want it there and then? It was like that. Red my favourite colour. Perfect size for me too. I had always wanted a flying V! It put me into my overdraft but it was worth it. You can get it off the internet for about £100.

5. Ukelele £15 AMAZON
Really cute. Like a small guitar with Nylon strings. It’s got a really small neck and frets but I have little hands so it’s the perfect size! She’s called “Simply Red”. ^_^

6. Star-Shaped Tambourine £5 AMAZON
Well, why ruin it and get a normal shaped tambourine! This is the first stylish instrument I bought. Before Toy Pop happened! Really fits into the family!

8. Shakers (£1) NEWPORT SU
I got two of these for £1 at the SU bar at Uni on Mexican Night. Along with another miniature tambourine. Nice bright and colourful for the wonderful Jen to shake!

9. Clicker (WILKINSON’S £5)
It came in a toy set with a drum, pretend trumpet, whistle and harmonica. The drum wasn’t very good but I use it as an ornament to keep the duck in and tie a helium balloon to. Very nice looking as it’s see through. The clicker though, is pretty cool. No idea what it’s really called but it’s yellow!

10. Rainbow Bells £12 AMAZON
These are really cute. 8 bells all pitched C D E F G A B C. The same as the xylophone! Really glad i have them
